Don't worry, with my first baby I didn't feel anything until about 21 weeks

Anything between 16 and 24 weeks (even later sometimes) is normal to start to feel movement .....and in a first pregnancy, it's usual to be on the later side of this. In subsequent pregnancies you have a better idea of how to recognise the very subtle feelings! And it depends a lot on how baby is lying too. If all their kicks are directed towards your back, it makes it even more tricky! Plus, an anterior placenta will mask feelings. When you're sitting still, your first movement may feel like a tiny bubble popping and is very subtle!

Didn't feel nothing til 20 weeks. Actually at my 20 week scan the sonographer said oh you should have felt something by now 🤔 sure enough that night I felt the first flutter, like a bubble popping it was so subtle

21/22 weeks with DD1. 18 weeks with DD2.

ApocalypseNowt · 13/10/2020 19:05

Do you have an anterior placenta? I did with both of mine and iirc felts movements from 20 weeks +

Carabu1 · 13/10/2020 19:07

I didn’t feel anything til 25/26 weeks.....! But I have an anterior placenta, so, that makes a difference. You’ll find out at 20 week scan if you do too, which can really delay it.

I find it amazing when people say they haven't felt baby. I'm on the other end of spectrum and have felt movement since 14 weeks. I'm now 22 weeks and feel him moving all day, all night. I have a low posterior placenta which could be why. Its reassuring to feel him but sometimes I worry if too much movement is a concern.

Pregnancy is such a worry but I'm sure they are all growing healthy and beautiful x

@Summerrp, I think an active baby is always a good sign, as far as I've been led to believe!
