Baby's heart rate higher than normal

I'm 32 weeks and at my midwife appointment this week baby's heart rate was 158, which the student midwife was fine as it's still within normal range. But at every other appointment and scan it's been 135-140.

Has anybody else had similar?

Like our heart rates, babies heart rates fluctuate with movement etc, they absolutely would not let you go home if they had any concerns with the fetal heart😊

Thats reassuring, thank you! Baby was moving a lot while she was trying to measure it, the Doppler was broken so either had no volume or full volume and kept making a loud feedback sound so maybe it just didn't like the noise and kept wriggling away?

Babys heart rate goes up to like 180 if they move a lot! No worries there

App. Being dehydrated can raise the heart rate so make sure you increase your fluids a bit. I had to have a drip for fluids for this reason during my induction

It’s a really positive sign when a babies heart rate responds to movement so all sounds lovely and normal!

Oh the dehydration thing might be it as well, as I had been awake for 5 hours in the night thanks to said wiggly baby, and had fallen back asleep and only woke up with enough time for a quick shower before heading to see the midwife, so I hadn't had anything to eat or drink since the middle of the night and my appointment was at 11, she said I had ketones in my urine and asked if I had eaten or drank anything so that's probably it!

Thanks all, feeling much more relieved now
