Hi ladies, what are your must haves for when baby is here? And what did you use the most and wouldn't have thought you had? 😊

Bath seat was brilliant, much easier than the baby bath. Sleeping bags for baby were brilliant too, much easier than stressing about blankets.
There was more stuff I thought I’d need and found a complete waste of money; baby bath, top and tail bowl, bath thermometer, groegg

@Oneandabean yeah I've got a baby bath but I'm thinking of getting a bath seat instead! Baby baths are so much hassle 😂

Baby baths are utterly pointless and messy- stick an AngelCare seat in the bath- loved ours.
Didn’t bother with cotton wool- water wipes were so easy.
A breastfeeding pillow was a must for me- I tried to prop myself up on my existing cushions and soon sent DH to the shops.
Oh on onesies, only straight down poppers or zips, whoever invested horizontal ones wasn’t a parent!

I love our Ollie Owl. When my daughter was newborn she settled really well at night with the heartbeat, now she's a bit older we use the lullaby to prepare her for sleep and the motion activated white noise to settle her when she stirs. We really notice a difference when we don't have it to hand.

Outside of the really obvious stuff I would say a bath support and a GroEgg, which I liked as it gives the room temperature and has a nightlight for the endless night feeds. I couldn't have lived without my sling as my baby wanted to be held all the time. For the rare moments he would be put down, the Baby Bjorn bouncer was great. I used a lot of Coconut oil as it was the one thing that cleared his baby acne and the cradle cap on his eyebrows. (We don't many photos from this time.)

For everything else www.getgetgot.com is super useful as it lists everything you could possibly need for a newborn in order of popularity.
