Wondering if someone has been in a similar situation trying for a baby.. I've been off the pill for 4 weeks this Sunday and I was only on the pill for 4 month.
Does anyone know how soon I could fall pregnant? And also how long could it take for my first period after stopping the pill with me not be on it that long?.

As far as I’m aware the pill should be out of your system instantly. That’s why you can potentially fall pregnant if you miss just one. But it might depend on the kind of pill you were on. I was on the one you take for 3 weeks then have a break (can never remember what that’s called lol). I came off mine and had regular periods straight away but I don’t think it’s unusual for them not to be regular right away. The length of time you’ve been on it shouldnt make a difference, I was on it for ten years. If you’ve ovulated in the past 4 weeks then you’ve had your first shot at getting pregnant! But you won’t know that until your period comes as ovulation isn’t always obvious unless you’ve started tracking and know the signs. As soon as you get your period I highly recommend tracking your cycle with the app Fertility Friend and mark that as day 1 of your new cycle.

@lorraine1986 you CAN get pregnant immediately but you also may take some time to normalise after the pill. Check out the Post Pill TTC Club www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4017258-Post-Pill-TTC-Party?watched=1&msgid=99814698#99814698

Personally I took 141 days to get a period after Rigevidon then found out I was pregnant 49 days into cycle 2

That's what I thought. I was on the one you might be on about once, it begun with an m lol. I was on the mini pill so took it everyday. Just hoping I don't have a period at all 🙏. Yeah I will definitely be tracking my cycle if I do tho. Thank you so much for your reply 😊

I stopped using the NuvaRing (same principle of 3 weeks on, then a period) in May. Baby is due in FebruaryBlush

@lorraine1986 that’s jogged my memory, microgynon! But it wasn’t the mini pill that you take continuously so still may have a different affect than the one you’re on. If you get to the point where your period hasn’t come back and you’re worried then see your gp, even if it’s just for them to tell you that it’s normal and keep your from worrying.
