Recommend a SPD/PGP belt?

Hello, I'm 25 weeks and suffering increasingly severe SPD. I am struggling to walk and getting very little sleep. I'm also getting shit antenatal care due to covid and shit GP care too. I'd be waiting until 2025 for a physio referral when it took me a month to get an omeprazole prescription.

So I've downloaded some physio exercises and I'm looking for a belt on Amazon but no idea where to start, there seems to be lots of different ones. I'm plus size, size 22 at the moment and it seems hard to get one that size.

Can anyone who's been there share links to one's that look about right? Thanks in advance!

I got the serola belt and wish I’d bought it earlier (suffered from 14 weeks until 30!!). Using it again now after birth as my centre of gravity has shifted without baby, bringing back the crunchy hips. I’ll be hanging onto it for the next time x

Yes the Serola belt ; or I managed to get a slightly wider version of the same thing direct from my physio. But if you google that design, that’s what you need.

I wore mine pretty low and tight especially when walking x

Hiya, ive SPD too from about 20ish weeks and paid to see a private physio because of what you said! Also in the NHS you won't always see a specialist women's health physio, which is what you want as they know about the pelvic floor stuff ect. It was worth it for an initial assessment to see which joints it was and whether to limit exercise/ use the belt or crutches. She gave me leaflets with exercises in from the pelvic partnership which I think you can get online and advised the 'wiltshire maternity belt' from promedics. It can be adjusted depending on whether the pain is worse in the sacroiliac joints or the symphysis pubis. Hope that helps!

I am a size 18/20, with PGP since pretty much the start of pregnancy.
The physio recommended ‘duo fit belt’ from pro-medics.
It was a bit more expensive, but deffo worth it!
All I would say is I sized up 2 sizes from their size chart as the size that corresponded with my measurements barely fitted my OH who wears a size medium!
Although, the physio recommended this belt after assessing me... so I don’t know whether there might be another type of belt that is more suited to your needs...
