My husband told me the other day that I couldn't possibly be tired, I'm only six weeks gone and it's not like I've got a bump yet or anything...

So come on, I bet some of you have got some gems!

When we found out I was pregnant " shouldn't you be vomiting or something"
3 weeks later, vomiting up to 10 times a day and nearly hospitalised " maybe I should keep my mouth shut from now on"
He doesn't question anything anymore and now get the odd " you are doing great " while I'm vomiting 🤣

Mine is generally good but he did whinge about being exhausted the other day. I'd spent most of the night sharing a single bed with our non sleeping 2yo, I'm 31 weeks pregnant. I told him I was displeased with his attitude.

@cat709 That’ll be a comment from someone who hasn’t experienced HG themselves then!

Cafeaulait27 · 27/09/2020 14:57

Generally he’s been really good, but I have found that whenever I say ‘I feel dizzy’ or ‘I have such a headache’ or ‘I’m exhausted’ he’ll say he is as well! 🙄🙄🙄

thetangleteaser · 27/09/2020 15:35

Not whilst I was pregnant but about 10 days after I gave birth, after a particularly bad all nighter on the sofa with the baby, he walked into the living and announced that he felt really groggy as he’d SLEPT TOO LONG🙃🙄

You can imagine the response!

ChampooPapi · 27/09/2020 17:45

@Cafeaulait27 classic 'sympathy pains' 🙄 Dig deep, because there will be more of these gems. He'll be a great dad no doubt but men definitely do not understand our plight!

Not so much mansplaining but - whilst I'm sitting planning DH's birthday next weekend - I get a 'shall we bother doing anything for your birthday this year?' (It's my birthday 2 weeks before my due date) 'I mean, is there any point?' 🙄🙄😱.

cheekypanda · 27/09/2020 18:56

I got 'you're being very dramatic' one day after I couldn't get out of bed...he knows never to say that to me again. I showed him how dramatic I could really be 😂

Parkandride · 28/09/2020 06:43

DH: sometimes I get so bored of walking upstairs to have a wee
Me who is never off the toilet: Hmm

He's a gem though!

SunnySideUp2020 · 28/09/2020 07:45

It's our first. So I try to prepare myself and DP that birth might not go movie like with 5 pushes and here is a nice shiny baby.

So i tell him that apparently birth is the most painful thing one can experience and his response:

"Come on cannot be that hard or painful women have been giving birth for centuries without doctors or pain management"

And this really sets me off so i ask him if when he gets a tooth extracted he also declines anaesthetic because "come on his ancestors had tooth extracted without pain killers for centuries - cannot be that bad" and his response was:

" mmm well one can actually die of tooth infection but not childbirth"

🤨🤯🤯🤯😤😤😤😤

RustyCat · 28/09/2020 10:11

@SunnySideUp2020 omg 🤣 he needs to do some research bless him!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 28/09/2020 16:44

@SunnySideUp2020 dont want to get dark but I think you're much more likely to die giving birth than of toothache...

wigglerose · 28/09/2020 16:51

My DH keeps saying things like, "We shouldn't buy the pram yet because what if anything goes wrong and we lose it?" It makes me want to punt him into next year.
