Big winter coat or proper maternity winter coat?

I'm about 3mths currently, will be spending my second trimester over the duration of the winter months and never been pregnant before.

My coats are too small for me currently, it's not that much of an issue at the moment as I can get away with them not done up. The only coat I can do up is a waterproof but that's not going to be warm enough when the temperature really drops.

So do I buy a proper mat coat or just one a few sizes up? Currently size 14.

I had a maternity coat which I still have. It's the h&m maternity one. I still wear it now when it's cold and because it is so big I can put DS (nearly 2) in the carrier underneath and still zip it up!

Next do a lovely long normal/maternity coat. It has a detachable extended part that goes on the front zip to make it bigger as you grow a baby bump. And it's SUPER warm!! And you can use it before and after pregnancy. For £60 I think that's a no brainer for me
