NCT online

Just wondering how people have been finding NCT since it's moved online? One of my main reasons for signing up was the social aspect and making new friends - I'm due to start classes this week and our Whatsapp group had been set-up, people have joined but nobody has said a thing??

I was hoping to do one of those, but unsure if the £200 price tag is worth it! Another online class bump to baby or something is only £99! Would you still recommend the NCT classes at that price?

Based on the first class I wouldn't recommend it, we've done a couple of free sessions through the baby academy and the honest midwife and they were so much better! I'm still shocked at how bad the NCT class was and feel really disappointed!

@Unicornbaker I don't think it was worth the money although where we are we only paid £125 for 5 sessions, in reality it was 10 sessions as we were always late. The social aspect of it I'm not sure of. It's nice to meet other people but we won't be meeting much due to covid. Also annoyed that none of them live nearby I was hoping to have a walking companion. Might as well find groups on Facebook instead.

I've got the same in my group whereby a lot don't live nearby, I thought that was the whole point of it! Some are over a 45 min drive away...

I’m in london and was quoted over £300 for online NCT. Then I was told my hospital are running free antenatal classes and read bad things on here about NCT...hope it improves for you OP but reading these comments about the online stuff is making me relieved I didn’t spend the money. Can you try and complain now and get your money back?

I'm going to see what it's like next week and then decide. I think a lot of it might come down to who you get as course leader and ours is rubbish, she literally just reads the slides out and shows no knowledge whatsoever, she's also the least engaging person, I wonder how she got the job! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Any better?

Stargazer87 · 05/10/2020 06:22

Well I've decided that the content is useless and very basic so you're basically paying for friends which is sort of what I thought anyway...it's just a shame that with covid we can't even meet up! Maybe it will be more of a benefit long term once the babies have arrived...

You should try and get your money back.
