Anyone work in social care?

I'm 8 weeks pregnant but thinking I'll have to tell work soon about pregnancy and do a risk assessment.

I work in social care (for a CIC not local authority), this involves travelling on public transport to see young people for sessions.

Anyone in a similar situation? What have you been told about work adjustments, wfh etc?

Similar area. But they are notoriously fabulous. They have taken the lead from me and what advice I give them from my midwife.

If I said I couldn't travel on public transport they would allow me to continue to WFH, virtually whenever possible and raise safeguarding concerns in other routes.

As it stands I drive, they've made it clear that I DO NOT have to do any face to face contact if I'm not comfortable. But have the freedom to, with risk assessments and safety measures (common sense).

Closer to the end of my pregnancy I will sort of isolate for the last few weeks to ensure I can't contract covid when I'm due to give birth. But I'll continue to WFH then.

Employers have to make "reasonable" adjustments for you - but the definition of reasonable is very vague.

Yes it is vague! Useful to know your experience, was thinking of asking for wfh only as I get more pregnant.

All ive been told so far is that I absolutely cannot be patient facing after 28 weeks. If a suitable role cannot be found for me, I will be off on paid leave.
