I'm 34 weeks and I've been having braxton hicks for quite some time but lately I've been getting them all time!! They also feel super uncomfortable. This normally passes but it's been like that one and off for the last few days. Has anyone else experienced similar?

Hi! I’m also 34 weeks and been getting the same! Very uncomfortable, like period pains. I even went into the assessment unit because it was so uncomfortable it kept waking me up at night! But totally normal - paracetamol may help!

Make sure you are well hydrated and when possible, well rested.

Hi @SassyPants87 I'm 32 weeks and felt like the braxton hicks have really increased this last week or so. Does it have anything to do with baby coming early do you think? Midwife last Friday said if youve been particularly active they can be worse, so it can sometimes be your body telling you to slow down x

sarahc336 · 09/09/2020 07:53

They can be worse if you don't drink enough or you've done too much in the day so need a rest xx

sarahc336 · 09/09/2020 07:54

And no they're no indication as to how near to labour you are, it's an individual thing as to how many you get x

@biscuit13 @sarahc336 ahhh that might make sense. I am in the middle of moving house too and I have been doing a lot and definitely not drinking enough!

I'll try slowing down a bit and drinking more water to see if that helps x
