I understand that at the moment in most Trusts, birth partners aren't allowed in with you until you're in 'established labour'/4cms+

Has anyone had a baby in the last couple of months that can share their experience with this? If so, can you also say what trust/hospital you were in?

Thanks :)

June, Trust in north west but not one with high cases in the surrounding area at all. I went in the night before as water had gone (so I thought) and was unable to manage at home (we live in the sticks 40 mins from the hospital and I was worried if we left I wouldn't make it back!). Had slow back labour over night, waters actually went in the morning but had merconium in so sent straight up to delivery suit and husband joined then, I was only 1cm though because I had to be monitored and could have resulted in emergency c he could come in.
Ended up giving birth with forceps in theatre 4 hours later (yep, took 3 hours to get to 3cm, then half an hour to 10!!)
Husband could only stay for 2 hours post birth then had to leave. I was discharged 48 hours later and he had to meet me at the entrance of the hospital!

Posted too soon - I thought I'd hate it and be really scared alone all that time but I was fine, we did ALOT of face time (had a private room). Obviously would have loved him there but it was no where near as bad as I imagined it would be without him.
