I’ve recently found out i’m pregnant after 18 months TTC with (fingers crossed) my first.
Any tips or advice anyone has for a first time mum to be? Anything you wish you’d known/bought/researched etc?

Thanks :)

Congrats! The best overall advice: treat the baby for the first 3 months, as if still in womb: focus on feeding, cuddling and rest for both of you and try not to worry about anything else. Don’t buy too much as a baby really does not need lots.
When deciding on a birth plan, focus on what you want but think abou5 what you would prefer if it was not possible

I had my little boy in June. FTM also. I was so worried about the birth. That was the easy part! The recovery after is hard, nobody warned me about that & it was a shock. The first 2 weeks after delivery the tiredness is insane (it does get better though!) rest as much as possible & take all help that’s offered! X

Hypnobirthing all the way!

Maggie Howell’s ‘Natal Hypnotherapy’ book is a lovely confidence giving and fascinating book.
I was 33 when I had DC1 and shocked at how much crap there is in film/tv about childbirth! I had so many misconceptions. So it was great to get educated and I had a lovely water birth in the end Smile
