Hi OP

I have an anterior placenta which is quite low lying (slowly moving up though...phew) :) when I first felt baby move it was around 19/20 weeks and it felt like bubbles that could've been mistaken for trapped wind. Now I am 25+2 & the kicks are soo recognisable and make my belly move!

Enjoy the feeling! Xx

I'm pregnant with no 2 and my previous pregnancy was with an anterior placenta - I just had small, jittery nudges and ripples until the final month.
Completely different to this time around, totally get people talking about kicks from early on now!

@Shawla92 @HettytheHoover

Thank you ladies for the reply Hopefully what I am feeling is movements (fingers crossed 🤞) especially this is my first baby so I don't even know what's going on In there 😂 but I am feeling it on the left side when your babies move do you feel it all over or one part of your stomach ??

I had this with my first and now only that I'm pregnant again and don't have an anterior placenta have I realised how little movement I felt the first time.

It was real rolls and movement I felt only from 19 weeks onwards. I even had to be induced as I could never feel babies movements.

Really low down and initially felt like a little goldfish or something fluttering!

I'm 20 weeks with an anterior placenta. I've had what I think are movements for a couple of weeks, though quite sporadic - sometimes days in between them. Weirdly the movements are quite high up even though baby was low down at my 20 week scan. They feel like big twitches and can often be felt from the outside. I don't know if maybe that's the knock-on movement of organs further up if you see what I mean. Last night I had a weird sensation low down which was hard to describe but felt more like actual baby.

Mine felt like a muscle twitch!

I felt like golf ball rolling around week 20-21, quite down low and also proper kicks. No flutters or butterflies.

I really only first felt dc1 who had an anterior placenta at 21 1/2 weeks when they booted me in my bladder!

Anterior placenta which is high up. I first felt the movements a couple of weeks before. Started off like little gas bubbles without me passing any wind. Them I felt a thud thud kinda heartbeat down in my lower abdomen i.e. pulsating movement. Some swishes as well. Very hard to describe. Now I feel nudges almost every night. Very sporadic still...sometimes I feel them quite a lot and sometimes almost nothing.

I was feeling like little butterfly movements particularly when I rolled over to go to sleep from maybe 16/17 weeks.
I’m 22 weeks now and I feel like jabs, but they are quite cute. Had these from just before 20 weeks and now I would say I feel her maybe three periods of time a day. Morning, afternoon and then nighttime

It started out as little pops or taps which could have been digestive gurgles. Now they feel like proper, substantial kicks!
