Got pregnant when my son was 3 months old, am I at risk of premature labour?

When my son was 3 months old I got pregnant again, a mistake I know, but it's too late for that now.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them, and how your pregnancies went? Am I more at risk of my daughter being born too early? How did your second pregnancies go?
Hope someone can help reassure me! x

I got pregnant 6 months after having a c section, so a bit longer than you, but following as I am interested too.
I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and am definitely in a lot more pain than last time, especially my c section scar :(
Congratulations on your pregnancy, your children will be the best of friends 🥰

There's an 11 month age gap between my first and second and 13 month gap between second and third.
With my first, I had to be induced just before 38 weeks and my second I gave birth when I was around 38+5 and third only a couple of days earlier.
The Labour definitely got faster each time though

The risk is higher but still small, especially if you don’t have any of the other risk factors.

From new scientist magazine “ Infants born to women who conceived within six months of their previous birth have a 40% increased risk of preterm birth, according to Augustin Conde-Agudelo, of the Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation in Colombia.”

Across the whole population (including high risk groups) close together pregnancies are still 90% likely to go to full term, compared to 93% if you had got pregnant a year later. So only a 3% difference.

Also bear in mind that the vast majority (85%) of premature births are quite close to due date and low risk.

So the chances of you going past 32 weeks (which is very safe to give birth at) are at least 98.5% . Even higher if you don’t have other risk factors like smoking.

I can also say from experience that giving birth before 32 weeks isn’t the end of the world, and many babies do fine. So please don’t worry.

I fell pregnant with dc2 when dc1 was 10 weeks old. Pregnancy was fine, dc2 was 5 days late. Then fell pregnant when dc2 was 12 weeks. Pregnancy was fine, although had bad pelvic pain towards the end. Dc3 was 12 days late
