Aching/stiff around pelvis/groin area

Hi everyone. Looking for some friendly advice please. I'm finding it hard to describe the feeling I have at the moment so bare with me. I definitely wouldn't describe it as pain but more as being quite uncomfortable. I have the feeling of aching and sort of stiffness around my pelvis or groin area, basically as low down as you can go. It almost feels like when you have done a lot of exercise and the next day your all aching and sore and your muscles are really paying the price when you need to move around, I feel like I'm walking funny etc when its really bad. Only problem is I've not been exercising, but it does get worst later in the day, I find both with being on my feet a lot or not moving for a while. I'm only 16 weeks but suppose just looking for reassurance that someone else has had this type of feeling? From the research I've done it seems to say in second trimester it's common for ligaments to be moving and things to be making room for baby in there. Anyone else's experiences of this would be great. Thanks x

I didn't have that till 20 weeks. It felt like I had saddle pain/stiffness from cycling too long. I had been cycling too long so that confused me when it didn't seem to get better, but it's still here 6 weeks later. Turns out it's the lifaments.

Who knows, might still be the same thing?

Same here at 28weeks I feel like I'm walking like a Nanna.
My husband thinks it's hilarious and calls me John Wayne.
It's all the ligaments stretching nothing to be worried about.
It's not pleasant but very normal with the excess weight and everything moving about. Try and rest as much as possible, warm baths and light yoga stretches (loads of Pinterest under pregnancy stretches) xxx

@rorosemary thanks for your advice, yeah that kind of feeling definitely. It's just difficult to know what pains or aches are 'normal' and if your having something which isn't. Especially when I've never heard anyone describing this type of feeling before during their pregnancies. Makes me feel better if you've had something similar. X

@LRHRN thanks so much for your helpful advice, so appreciated. These things are definitely on my to do list this weekend with no work. A nice hot bath and some yoga sounds lovely. Yes, John Wayne definitely springs to mind haha. Take care. X
