Hello all. I'm 6.5 weeks pregnant and have been struck by the worst hyperemesis. I'm currently in hospital attached to an IV drip, I've had injections of cyclizine (IV), prochlorperazine (IM) and Ondansetron (IM) so far since I arrived here at 2pm this afternoon. I'm so miserable - I'm contemplating a termination it's that unbearable. Which would kill me emotionally as this is a much much wanted and prayed for baby. But at the same time I can't kill myself physically in the process to have one, which is what it feels like right now. My question is - has anyone had successful treatment for hyperemesis and if so, what did you have that worked? Apparently there is another option of steroids but they don't want to do that until all else has failed. If no advice or experiences, a hand hold would be appreciated. I'm going through my own personal hell right now. Sad

Hello,
I suffered of HG with my first son, and as you know, it was awful. I am currently 5weeks+2 pregnant with my second and I am so scared of what is coming.
I feel nauseous and I am afraid I won't be able to look after my 4 years old. My partner works abroad and I am here all by myself.
I have been recommended Nuperal, by an Italian gynecologist. I have been told that the UK equivalent is Xonvea.
On Monday I would try to ask my GP to prescribe it. Is anyone who haa an improvement after using Xonvea?
Wish you all an easy pregnancy!

20 weeks pregnant now and had hyperemesis with both pregnancies. Multiple hospital admissions for IV drips and crying to the nurses how utterly miserable I was and wanted an abortion. Ondonsetron has kept me human and I can say I'm definitely on the other side. I still throw up 5 times a day but I no longer have the unbelievable nausea or reluctance to eat as I had early on.

I know it seems there is no way out but you will get through it and look back years down the line and give yourself a pat on the back for how strong you were. X
