Thanks

Yes 19 weeks hopefully it'll move!

I tried for a vbac with Dd2 but she was so massive it wouldn't work (10lb 4oz). I physically wouldn't have fitted her through my (narrow) hips according to the surgeon. Had it been DD3 I wouldn't have had an issue I don't think as she was (relatively) small (7lb 12oz). I am happy I tried though and it wasn't a terrible experience or anything. I would try again if I had my time again.

It's when the midwife said that there is a chance of your scar opening that scared the poop out of me!

It's a less than one in three thousand chance, though I think having a shorter gap between pregnancies can up the risk but it's still very good odds that it won't happen.
If you are determined to have a VBAC (I was) I would recommend having a doula or equivalent with you.
Also try and find someone who can go through the birthing process in a very detailed manner. I had a four hour session with a midwife who also did birthing education. It wasn't cheap but was very much worth doing. I found that a lot more useful than the NCT classes I took the first time around.
I would also recommend Hypno Birthing and yoga (if you are not suffering with SPD/PGP).

I tried but it didn't work. To be honest, looking back I think the Drs should have strongly advised a c-section instead of encouraging me to have a vbac.

My waters had been gone 9 days with no signs of labour. I was 36 weeks pregnant and had just started with an infection. It was 8pm and I'd not been allowed to eat all day just in case they decided to do a c-section so I was already tired and hungry. I was induced with the drip. 4.5 hours after they started the induction I was 4cm dilated, with a temperature of 40.2. Baby was in distress and trying to come out brow first so I had an emergency c-section.
