Getting Induced today- nervous!

Hi,
Due to reduced movements yesterday I am getting induced today. I am 40+2 and a FTM. As much as I’m excited to get things moving, I’m really nervous as to what is to come. Can anyone shed any stories and positivity about inducement and how it went for them? Thanks!

How exciting ! I was induced with my 4th it didn't work until the 3rd time then I only had a 4 hour labour . The contractions come thick and fast straight away no build up at all. But I'm sure everyone's body is different. Not long til you are holding your baby , good luck

Personally with induction, when they give you the drip get the epidural. My contractions were constant I had no break in between them and they were supersized.

Hopefully the pessary will work for you but if you get the drip see how you get on but don't be afraid to ask for pain relief.

I was induced with the drip last week after my waters broke 35 hours before. She's my 4th and I've had 3 straight forward natural births before and was planning a homebirth this time. It was the opposite of my birth plan but was still a positive experience. The Labour lasted 2 hours and I only needed gas and air.

Personally if you have the drip I would opt for epidural before hand. I wouldn’t of been able to do it without, my contractions were almost constant felt like
I didn’t have a chance
To breathe!!
