No, how could it be?

AlwaysBelieve19 · 13/08/2020 20:53

@Foggymist I heard it reduces your baby's oxygen

How does that work? Holding your breath doesn't stop blood flow through your placenta!! I mean unless you held it long enough to die, but I'm assuming you are still alive as you are posting about it!

Really??? 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think you need to buy a book about pregnancy and what to expect...

AlwaysBelieve19 · 13/08/2020 21:17

😂😂😂 I know you ladies must think I'm crazy but I'm a first time mum with an experience of a miscarriage

No chance of causing any harm, so try not to worry.
Your placenta provides everything your baby needs.xxx

From where?!!

Breath-holding is actually not recommended during pregnancy, as the resulting hypoxia is potentially harmful to baby. This is why exercises that involve reduced breathing or breath holding should be avoided.

Here's a link but Google will show you plenty more www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/exercise-safety#:~:text=Holding%20your%20breath%20is%20never,big%20toe)%20and%20tai%20chi.

That said, briefly holding your breath non-regularly is unlikely to cause any serious problems. Just don't make a habit of it.
