Hi

I have a history of recurrent miscarriage.
I have also had to CP which im petrified of having another.
I do have a little boy.

Last chance of fertility and i was shocked it was a BFP.

Ive had really strong lines, ive also had 2-3 weeks on a CB digital at 15po (10dp5dt).

Last night i did a boots and the test line was darker than the control line but done another 2 FRER today and they are lighter.. but the control line is lighter too..

Im stressing

First pic is the progression from yesterday (top 2, FRER and boots, bottom 2 is today)

2nd pic is FRER from yesterday at the top and bottom is todays...

Should i be concerned

Relax. You're looking too much into it. I know it's hard because of your history but take a step back, different tests will have different strengths. They'll all very strong lines. Congratulations

Stop testing - for your own sanity! At the moment you are pregnant and 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 you stay that way! I say that as someone who's pregnant after 3 recurrent mc and 5 mc altogether. Is there anything meds wise you need to do? Progesterone or aspirin - if so make sure you're on them. I took high dose (5mg) of folic acid as I'm 44. I have no idea if this did anything but I couldn't find any evidence it'd have a negative affect.

Thanks, i know i need to stop testing and i think this might be the reason to stop.

I am on Metformin, Lubion (progesterone) and cyclogest.

Im just scared of another chemical :-(

I know exactly how you feel. I had recurrent early miscarriages and could always see on a FRER when it was happening as the lines got lighter. So ignore anyone that says a line is a line. If you've been there you know.

However! At a certain point in pregnancy the lines stop getting darker and can in fact get lighter. Google the hook effect. I can't remember at what point in my successful pregnancy this happened but it scared me to death. Maybe around 6 weeks or a little before. The test line went from super dark and got lighter and lighter until it was lighter than the control line again. I booked in extra scans and bloods at the IVf clinic as I was certain it was another miscarriage. It was absolutely fine. Once you are at a certain point the tests are just no use anymore and as hard as it is you have to go cold turkey and just hope for the best. Good luck!!

Thank you.

I have a scan on the 21st, just need to get through until then!

Thanks x
