Sugar cravings & bad diet at 22 weeks

Just what the title says really...
Constantly craving sugar & just unhealthy salty snacks.
There are days where I wake up with the best intentions of being healthy and start off well but it all goes down hill mid afternoon and evening.
Please tell me I'm not the only one?
Also, ideas for healthy snacks which are sweet or alternative to crisps welcome!

You are absolutely not the only one! I've found halo top ice cream to be life saving when in need of a sweet hit, and keep chopped pineapple/melon/mango in the fridge for an easy to grab sugar hit

My diet has been appalling from day one. I'm now 33 weeks and I'm fine. I do try and eat at least one decent meal a day, but my first trimester it was all about sugar! 😂

I think because I'm now at the stage of getting a bump I'm more aware about how big I can actually get if I dont rein myself in a bit! Think I'll invest in halo top and stop buying sweet treats... the other half will just have to be good with me :) x

My doctor told me that she doesn't care how much weight I put on, I'm the one who has to get it off again!! Have gone from 59kg to 68kg and still have 12 1/2 weeks to go 😂

I sould say it's a good idea to reduce sugar if you're eating a lot. I've got excess amniotic fluid and a big baby and even though I don't have gestational diabetes the midwife said at my last appointment at 35 weeks that I should cut sugar out as that is what could have caused the excess fluid (which I'm being monitored for). I have been like you craving sugar but unlike you i havent reigned it in! I would definitely say reducing sugar is a good idea. I'm being much more strict on myself now in a bid to try and get the fluid levels reduced so I dont need extra monitoring!
