Down syndrome quadruple test has come back with a high risk factor of 1 in 5.
But my consultant has said one of the chemicals tested for was unusually high, Inhibin A - and he has looked into other reasons why this might be but hasn't found any reason as of yet. But he's never seen that chemical as high before.
I'm now going In tomorrow for the DNA blood test (costs around £280 but they do it at the hospital and I then pay the lab) instead of the amniocentesis.
Anyone ever heard of Inhibin A being high for another reason? Or just have any advice?
I would never terminate the pregnancy but would want to know as much as I can prior to giving birth.
