Travel system - carrycot

Hi all,

I am pregnant with my first baby, so am new to all of the baby stuff. We ordered Kinderkraft Moov 3in1 Travel System, put it together and it looks like the carrycot bit is not completely flat (I am attaching a pic).
Can someone advise is this normal in general? How does it look to you?

If we change it to face away from parent it is straight, but facing parent facing it looks like this.

It doesn't look right to me. I'd think the baby would slide down.

Mama246 · 06/08/2020 11:10

This happened with my first and I think there was a button like when you use the seat unit you can adjust whether baby is sitting or lying down, it may be something you have pressed to make carry cot on a incline? Look around for some buttons, hope you sort it and congratulations on your first Smile

@YesINameChangeEveryDay That's what I was thinking as well 😬

@Mama246 Thank you 🙂
I did try that button, but it just does not stay completely still and flat, no not sure what else I can do 🤷🏼‍♀️
Did you have the same travel system?

Hmm I'd probably send it back incase it's faulty

bedjolly · 06/08/2020 12:00

Maybe email where you ordered it from and look at reviews to see if other people have had the same issue? I've never seen a pram look like that. Besides the potential fault love the pram by the way.

Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 12:03

@YesINameChangeEveryDay I will probably have to do that, I did message the seller, but the response was completely useless 😅
At least I now know this is not normal 😁

@bedjolly Thanks, I did message them, so far useless answer 😅
I did read reviews before ordering and now again and have not seen anyone having issues with this. To be fair in some pics and videos from the company that is how it looks- not completely flat 🤷🏼‍♀️

They're quick to take your money but useless at helping, it's annoying. Maybe if it looks like that in the videos then it's meant to be like that. I've never personally seen one like it but they have their reasons for the designs haha.

Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 12:39

@bedjolly I would like to know those reasons 😅

@Pinecone88 no problem, no I didn’t have the same travel system but my carrycot did the same thing, it was 2 weeks later when I was messing with it and it went straight again, try taking the carry cot off and check the slots on the frame where the carry cot fits on, are they even? Do they move? Sorry I have no other suggestions, hope you sort it or the supplier is more useful, keep on to them Smile

Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 14:30

@Mama246 Thank you, I tried all of that, I guess we might just have gotten a faulty one 😬

Hi I have just recently received the same pram in grey & mine sits the same. Seems sturdy enough though.

Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 14:41

@Shawla92 Oh ok, so it might be normal for this model to sit like it then. Still seems a bit weird as I have not seen any other ones not being flat before.
I'm assuming you haven't used it with a baby yet? Do you not think baby would slide down a bit?

OP posts:
Shawla92 · 06/08/2020 15:15

I haven't used it with baby yet so I'm not sure. Suppose you could put something weighted on the side that slopes downwards and check it holds?
I'm a FTM so not entirely sure what's normal for a travel system. I did view a few in shops and some were like this (not perfectly flat) maybe it's because the travel cot doubles into the pushchair rather than them being 2 separate pieces?

Pearsapiece · 06/08/2020 15:25

You might find it useful actually. I looked everywhere to find a way of propping my ds carry cot up a but because he had reflux! Not helpful if it's not what you want though

Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 15:33

@Shawla92 I actually thought the same, that it could be because it's 2 in 1.

OP posts:
Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 15:35

@Shawla92 But again most I saw that were 2 in 1 were flat...I'm just confused and don't know what's ok in a travel system and what's not 😅

OP posts:
Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 15:36

@Pearsapiece Fair enough.

OP posts:
Shawla92 · 06/08/2020 16:11

we can always strap them in if they turn out to be really wriggly babies :) I wouldn't worry too much - won't be in the travel cot for that long.

Pinecone88 · 06/08/2020 16:26

@Shawla92 That's true 🙂
