Hi,

I had a scan at 6 weeks and saw one baby, so when I went for my scan at 13 weeks yesterday and was told it's identical twins I was in total shock. Im due on the 6th February and wondered if there is anyone else in the same boat or anyone had twins who can give advise.

I'm in shock and don't know where to begin with things x

P.s. @emma911030 loving the 2am post... it's now 5am and I am also struggling to sleep 🙈😄

@MilsCookie hi no I don't know if they are identical or not yet. I'm having DCDA twins so there's a chance but I don't think I'll find out until birth?

Have to admit it confuses me alot 😂 I'll just wait and find out, doesn't make any difference to me if they are or aren't identical I will love them for who they each are 😊

@RustyCat oh of course you will! I just like finding other mamas having MCDA/MCMA cos of all the extra stresses with only having one placenta 🙈🙄 and makes me feel less alone! Your pregnancy should be pretty straight forward as they have their own everything so no chance of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome or anything like that!

@MilsCookie ah I don't blame you. I'm excited to find other people having twins as most mums are having one so what they are experiencing or purchasing is going to be alot different to us.

I am still high risk, have to take aspirin and have extra appointments but I wouldn't have thought it will be as many as yours though.

MilsCookie · 20/11/2020 14:13

@RustyCat oh yeah, a twin pregnancy is so different to singleton! I've had to have scans every 2 weeks from 16 weeks... then got to 20 weeks and they discovered my smaller twin has sIUGR so I've had to go every week since then... it's been a rollercoaster to say the least! They will be here on Monday (planned c-section) so a whole new rollercoaster will begin!!

@MilsCookie hi lovely went for my scan. All looking good and consultant has said I have to go back in two weeks if I haven't had them by then but then would look to deliver on the Monday after so the 7th December aaaggghhhh feel like I have an end date now now I'm scared and I want to just clean the shit out of everything lol
Good luck for your delivery!! Hope it all goes really well and your babies are all good and healthy xx

MilsCookie · 21/11/2020 12:49

@emma911030 haha I know what you mean about wanting to clean everything!! 🙈 that's so exciting to have a date though! It definitely makes it all feel more real. I am so excited for Monday to finally meet them but also so nervous about the c section and about what to expect after with them only being 34 weeks so needing some time in NICU. But fingers crossed all will be well 🤞🏻 xx

How is everyone getting on? I had my girls on 23rd November at 34+0. They were 5lb 2oz and 3lb 14oz. We spent 16 days in NICU for feeding and growing but now they're finally home ❤️

Hi everyone I’m 28 weeks with non identical twin boys. Got my next scan today. Was wondering when everyone went through birth plans? I was told it would happen sometime after the 32 week appointment but everyone else has said lots of twins come at 32 weeks!
