I am sure that this has been posted many times, and if someone could give me a link so i can read other responses i would be very grateful.

I am 32weeks gone with my first, and it is just dawning on me that i am going to be a mum (hopefully) and to be honest i am starting to PANIC!

I am sure this is normal, but some reasurence would be lovely.

Thank you all.

It is entirely normal, and, I reckon, rather healthy too. You are taking on a bit responsibility, your life will change and it's great that you are not oblivious to that! Don't worry though, first things first - early days are eating, sleeping and nappy changing. The more advanced stuff comes later!! Good luck!!

Sounds normal to me (and I spent the first week AFTER DS's birth in shock that he was actually mine ). Good luck with your new arrival and just go with the flow

i hear you. DH just arrived home with a push chair that he'd been given by his boss... I had to hide it away in the cupboad under the stairs... a bit TOO reality for me!

you'll survive.

best piece of advice anyone gave to me: they're tougher than you think, babies.

also (advice NOT given to me) - get the instructions and practice putting it in the car.

NAB3 · 01/10/2007 19:03

I think she means the car seat, not the baby!

SenoraPostrophe · 01/10/2007 19:25

quite right. some words got deleted there - I meant get some instructions for your car seat.

the instructions that come with the baby turn out not to be terribly helpful.
