External hemorrhoids, I can't take any more

34 weeks pregnant and suffering with severe external hemorrhoids.

Have had 2 GP appointments over the phone over the last month and nothing has helped and its just getting worse. Tried all over the counter treatments plus prescription. Take laxitives daily to soften stool.

Now have a hard painful lump the size of a grape permanently outside my bum. Cannot sit, cannot walk, cannot sleep. Pain is excruciating.

Is it over the top to call 111 and try for an out of hours appointment where someone can actually look? Is there anything they can actually do whilst I'm pregnant? I want it chopped off. I can't live like this for the next 7 weeks. And how can I push out a baby out like this.

Any advice or positive stories of effective treatment please share because I am really struggling.

I'm jumping on this thread because I'm in despair also. I've had trouble with hemmeroids and fissures for months, just before I got pregnant and during.
Currently have an ice cube wrapped in an anusol wipe placed on the THROBBING grape hanging out my butt. I've tried 2 creams now and both are crap.
Have a sitz bath and salts so I'm trying to do that a few times a day.
I feel like I've tried everything, next step is GP.
I just feel a slight bit better that I'm not alone in this so I'm going to try everything that's suggested in this comments thread! OP I am 100percent with you 😢😢😢

Don't use apple cider vinegar, regular use can burn the skin.
Try Coconut Oil in a jar, organic virgin cold-pressed is best, full of nutrients as well, google "hemorrhoids" "coconut oil" with the additional tag "healthline" or your favourite site for medicinal information.
Get it in Sainsbury's, should be next to the various olive oils, etc.
Cover your finger with Non-PVC Cling Film, scoop a dollop onto your finger and just apply gently, it melts almost instantly.
Don't use kitchen roll or similar. that just absorbs the oil.
Apply 3 or 4 times a day.
When bathing or showering, clean the specific area using just water, not soap, soap is an irritant on piles.
Just a middle aged bloke here, but it worked for me.
All the best.

It is devastating - I ended up getting admitted to hospital at the tail end of my pregnancy with them. The pain is bleak. I cried so much and was in misery. You poor thing, I wish I come and care for you they are that bad. My two pence worth:
relieve pressure on your pelvic area as much as you can by lying on your side with the top leg on a pillow. It gives good relief. Have baths with a little tea tree oil. Fluids - water and mint tea for me. Oatmeal and the like to keep stool right consistency. Again - REST with pressure off you pelvic area and legs. An organic cotton pad with some cooling gel on the area helps. Beware heat - keep the area cool, washed/clean, and wear non sweaty underwear. My heart goes out to you, it truly does.

I suffered with these before I had my DD after having an operation. Also ended up with a fissure.
The only thing that stopped the pain quickly for me was Sudocrem. The relief was insane.

Hi Gastomino,

I know this post is a few months old now but was wondering how you got on with your thrombosed piles and also how your delivery went? I’m currently 31 weeks and have very painful and swollen thrombosed piles, any advice would be very much appreciated x
