Doona Car Seat?

Hi everyone! I am looking at car seats and the Doona car seat has really caught my attention. I'm 5ft2 and not the strongest of women! Every car seat I pick up seems to weigh a ton, and so the thought of having something convenient I can click on and off of an isofix base and then wheel rather than lug seems like a win-win.
Has anyone got one? How did you find it? Would you recommend? Any cons? How long did baby last in one? Thank you!

I had one with my first and absolutely LOVE it, we are going to use it with our second, the only negative is that it doesn't have a buggy board that attaches to it, so with a 1 year old, it would be useful! But no negatives from me, but it is heavy, not a huge problem as it has the wheels, but you will have to carry over gravel!
She was in it until she was just under one, probably could have got a bit more use out of it, but wanted to get her used to a new seat before baby no2 arrives.
I recommend them to everyone!
We now use the doona Liki trike for our daughter and that's amazing too!

I think you would be better off buying a Swedish Plus Tested car seat. If lugging the car seat in and out of the car is a problem then just leave it in there. This seems a bit gimmicky to me.

I think they are so overpriced! £400 with the base Confused But people who like them really love them.

IMO, it's better value for money to get something like Nuna Pipa Lite or Venicci Ultralite or Joie i-Snug. These all go on Maxi Cosi adapters so click into almost any brand of pram. Price (including bases) between £160-280 depending on which of these you pick and you get better safety testing (the doona is good on frontal impacts but terrible on side impacts) plus other features such as the base also taking a toddler seat, better ergonomics for newborn, natural/chemical free covers (just taking one example pro from each seat).

Bit late to this thread but have a doona for DS 6 months. Probably by best buy so far. Makes getting around soooo easy! Only down side is that it's heavy but you only have to get it off the seat and onto the ground (5-10secs work). I watch others mum's getting the pram chassis out the boot, setting it up then putting car seat on and I think what a faff! Soooo glad I have a doona. Would definitely recommend
