I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with my first.
He is very much wanted and loved with lots of excitement from friends and family as well.

However, becoming a mother still just feels like a 'concept' to me. I know if all goes well he'll be here in December and I can't wait to meet him, yet it doesn't feel real yet.

What did it feel like become a parent for the first time for you? I'd love to hear other experiences.

I felt like an imposter. The first time I pushed a pram, I felt "This isn't me! I don't do this!" Took a week or so to get over it.

Mine are 11 and nearly 9 now.

Some days it still shocks me that I am these two people's mother and the only one they will ever have as well.

I think to myself - hang on, who allowed THAT?!

Most of the time though I'm too busy t even think about it much x

Good luck OP. The whole thing is a mental emotional and physical mindbender.

You can really get at one with it you just have to go with the ride and not worry too much.
