To not know how to rest/relax? Second trimester

Looking for ideas/ suggestions

I have a 3 year old and am 20 weeks pregnant. I work full time but from home since corona. DD is in childcare.

I feel knackered most of the time. This pregnancy is much tougher than with DD and have been feeling tired and sluggish since the beginning. Got a bit better with second trimester but still not feeling great. However, when I have a bit of time for myself eg after work whilst DD watches a bit of telly and DH cooks I don’t seem to know what to do with myself. I will just lie in bed feeling grumpy. Don’t have a bathtub for a relaxing bath (and really miss having one!)

What do you guys do to rest/relax?

I've done a lot of reading during lockdown/pregnancy - kept saying that what I have saved in petrol, I've spent on Kindle books! I do usually have a lie down in bed while reading at some point during the day because I've found that if I don't then my back is so sore by bed time.

Thanks @penguin423

I have always been a reader but I have found this pregnancy has made me so miserable that I find even that hard. Have you got any good book suggestion? Last authors i read are celeste nag, sally Rooney, Diana Evans

You could listen to a podcast or audio book in bed. What about colouring or drawing - obviously not laying down. Read short stories if you can’t get into a novel. Buy a nice magazine and save it for your rest time.

Face mask
Nice shower
Paint your nails/toenails
A workout
Could you go out for a short walk?

I've been trying to do quick yoga practice in the early evening otherwise I end up just sitting down staring at my phone which doesn't really help!

Shower
Candles
Music
Full body moisturiser
Paint nails
Crappy tv or a drama series
Chocolate
Exercise always helps if I’m feeling grumpy
