Baby's position at 29 weeks

I went for a private scan last week and i was surprised to hear the baby has changed it's position and it was with his head down and his back to my belly. I haven't realised the move into the birthing position so early. Is this normal or it's a potential sign of a premature birth?
The sonographer was a little bit useless and didn't explain anything, it felt like a waste of money when the aim of the scan was to check up on fetal health and she didn't provide any feedback.

My baby had been head down since 24 weeks (now 31), no midwife has mentioned this is worrying. So I don’t think it’s anything to worry about

My first was always head down from when they start palpating (28 weeks?). My second wasn't head down and they were telling me not to panic etc because there was plenty of time for him to turn, but they're reaction definitely suggested it wasn't the norm.

They're still pretty small in there at 29 weeks and mine was still moving and spinning around quite a bit until about 32/33 weeks so she may stay there or she may have a few more twists and turns in her yet. I don't think it has any bearing on when they will arrive.

I'm sure it's 37 weeks when baby really has to be 'in position'

Sorry, saying 'she' is just a force of habit

Thank you all. I feel better reading your advice. @sel2223 to be honest we don't know the baby's gender, have decided to keep it as a surprise but for whatever reason i keep referring to the baby as he. 🙈😂 . x
