Plantar fasciitis in pregnancy

Hi , I suffer from plantar fasciitis in both my feet
For anyone who hasn't heard of it before , basically it's just extremely sore feet 24/7 because of my tendons in my foot

I was in the middle of getting injections for it , but as corona hit us , bio mechanics for the NHS obviously shut down. The bio mechanic has told me whilst I'm pregnant they can't do the injections when the service is up & running

I'm now 10 weeks & im in absolute agony , especially when I'm at work. I do 10 hour shifts on my feet
I've put my notice in to step down from my position into a sitting down job

Has anyone dealt with this condition whilst pregnant & can offer advise on what you did
I normally have nice skinny ankles ( only thing skinny about me 😂) & today one is very swollen
I'm walking around work as if I've had a accident

TIA

Get a ball and roll your feet over it whilst you sit down at home.

Do some of these exercises.

I've had it sometimes over the years and know how much it hurts. x The exercises do help a lot.

@FortunesFave I used to do that before I was referred to the bio mechanics as it wouldn't help but I'm willing to try it again

Thank you

Putting ice on it also helps...or a cold cloth you know. Something chilly.

Flexing and moving it is always a good idea. Especially in the morning. Make sure your shoes are right too.

Oh that sounds terrible, so sorry to hear!

I developed it in one foot around 12 weeks pregnant. Since then I have been seeing an osteopath who has me also working with a ball under the foot - for me that is torture when sitting down but is good if I do it standing up. Your case sounds much more painful than mine though so appreciate this may not do much for you.

Do you know the root of the problem? Mine is probably caused by tight calf muscles impacting the achilles etc. Trying to work on the root cause may also help you.

I would suggest seeing someone even just for physio/temporary relief because the increased weight on the feet will start to get unbearable.
