Cervical polyp during pregnancy

Hi all so I am currently 12 weeks pregnant tomorow. At 8 weeks I had some rust spotting. Got scanned all was good. A few days later I went to the toilet and had bright red blood on wiping. It lasted a couple of wipes that turned rust then browny then nothing and seemed to be gone until the next morning when I had a bm (constipated) brought on more red again a few wipes and the same as above. This happened once a week at 9 weeks. Then at 10 weeks and then at 11 weeks. (Defo made worse by constipation) I was checked at 9 and 10 weeks all was fine and the nurse actually found a cervical polyp and said cervix was closed. I rang on the 3rd time and they said its probably from the polyp and not to come in as they were not concerned. My question is if anyone else has experienced this and outcome. I'm just a bit concerned as I didn't think a polyp could cause actual blood I thought it would be more spotting? I'm in with midwife next week and praying everything is ok.

The doctor did say they may do a biopsy 😕

@Fightingtobepositive just wondering how you’re getting on? I’m 27 weeks now and the spotting has started again 🙄 I had it at 10 weeks initially and was also found to have BV at the time when the polyp was found too, took antibiotics for the BV and and had no spotting since until a week ago. I’ve done a swab and no infection, called triage a few times and they’ve said as the spotting is just on wiping and often after a bowel movement they’re not worried and most likely the polyp. Think if it carries on I’ll insist on being seen. Was so pleased to not have any bleeding for the last 16 weeks and now it’s happened around every other day for over a week now 😥

Hello, I wondered if anyone had any advice re polyps and pregnancy? I found this post and have read it through I just wondered what kind of symptoms you had and how things went?
I’m currently 31 weeks and have a cervical polyp. On and off discharge - sometimes normal/clear, sometimes yellow, sometimes light brown/yellow. I’ve been into maternity triage a few times and believe it’s the polyp causing the problem. Not placenta issue as it’s high up. I’ve had high swabs and no signs of infection. When I’ve phoned up mainly been told ‘it’s likely the polyp again - keep an eye on’ I’ve had low swabs at my GP no signs of infection and blood tests. Just looking for reassurance etc and what you all did?
