Noordi Pram

Hello!

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and starting to think about a pram. Unfortunately, I am shielding and won't be able to make it to a shop. I love the look of the Noordi Fjordi travel system but can't find many reviews at all. Has anyone here tried it?

I'm essentially looking for something all terrain as we live in the countryside.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Hey, if it helps I tried out a noordi fjordi today in store and we are definitely going to go for one. Felt really premium. The suspension was excellent and the whole pram just looked so cosy and a lovely place for little one. The whole pram felt so sturdy without feeling heavy or bulky.

Hello, did you buy the Noordi pram.? I’m keen on one but there isn’t a showroom anywhere near where I can see one.

Samisparkle · 24/10/2020 18:04

Yea we bought the fjordi in dark grey. Baby hasn't arrived yet but we picked up the pram and have been playing about with it in the house. Very pleased with the quality so far but can't give you a proper tried and tested review yet unfortunately.

Oh my word, is never heard of this pram before your post but wow! It looks so good. Any idea what age it’s typically suitable up to?

Davescolt · 25/10/2020 07:52

Yea it looks ideal. No show rooms in NE England yet.

Does anyone know if it will fit a larger car seat on the pram once they outgrow the Noordi branded one (says up to 15 months)? If it does I think I may now be sold... what an amazing pram!

Samisparkle · 25/10/2020 13:16

As far as I've seen there isn't any pram that can do that. Perhaps I'm wrong but I can't imagine lifting the weight of a car seat with a 2 year old in it onto a pram chassis.

Davescolt · 25/10/2020 13:57

I am on the verge of ordering one but I really would like to see some reviews.

Davescolt · 25/10/2020 15:22

Thanks @Samisparkle I have seen that review, although as it’s a ‘gifted’ pram it must be a little bias Grin

Samisparkle · 25/10/2020 15:32

Haha yeah I noticed that but it was the only one I could find too. Our baby is due at end of nov so I will update the thread with how we get on.

Davescolt · 25/10/2020 16:41

Where did you buy your pram from? @Samisparkle

It takes Maxi Cosi adapters, so you can fit any Cybex, Maxi Cosi, Nuna etc car seat on there, although only infant carriers. It's only ever infant carriers which go onto prams, the next stage seats are just too big and bulky, it wouldn't be practical.

15 months is just a guide, though - I don't know the Noori seat to be able to estimate, but it's approved to the older regulation which means it's 13kg or when the child's head reaches the edge. This might be around 15 months but it massively depends on the seat. You could just get another car seat which is compatible which lasts for a long time. The longer lasting ones I know of (which go on those adapters) are:

Cybex Cloud Z / Aton M
Maxi Cosi Cabriofix
Joie Gemm / i-Gemm 2

These seats tend to fit an average sized child up until about 18 months - 2 years. Maybe a bit less if they're really big, I do know a teeny 2.5yo who was still in her infant seat! Often people stop using them well before these ages because they find it less practical or comfortable for the child than a larger toddler seat, but at least if you have a longer lasting one, you'd have the option.

Haven’t decided on a pram yet, Noordi now has some excellent deals which include a car seat and a free ISOFIX base too. Just wish we could see on in a shop before ordering.

Another contender (which is offering 10% flash sale currently) is another German chair by Beqooni.

An update, we went for a bugaboo fox in the end, £700 delivered from the bugaboo Amazon outlet in black with a white cover.

Cheaper brand new than Ex display models we had seen.

Kat2017 · 21/01/2021 09:10

Hello, was there an update on how you find the noordi? Smile

Samisparkle · 21/01/2021 10:01

Yes we really love it. Little one sleeps really well in it, he is so warm inside the carrycot even when it is freezing outside. Its really easy to put together. The suspension is great for trails and bumpy footpaths. It looks great too we've lost count of the amount of people who stop us and admire it!

Kat2017 · 21/01/2021 10:51

Ah thanks so much for your response. That's great to know, I will take a look now for prices Smile

HippieMama4 · 10/02/2021 14:03

Hi

I was wondering Samisparkle, what is the seat unit like padding wise please? We looked at a Sole Go by Noordi and the seat unit liner was very thing, you could feel the plastic of the seat through it.

I really like the look of the Fjordi but there aren't any in shops near me and I didn't want to buy online without a recommendation. Thank you! Smile

Racheldublin · 27/03/2021 23:19

Hi all

Wondering did anyone buy the Noordi and would you recommend?

Tia,
Rachel

Racheldublin · 27/03/2021 23:20

Can I ask how you found this deal? I’m also interested in fox 2 but they are like €1900 with travel system

eliniatko · 06/04/2021 19:55

The Noordi brand prams are Lithuanian, even if they make the buyer feel like they are of northern design. The pram configuration is usually great, the carrycot being spacious and comfy for the baby, and well protected. The pushchair mode with the seat unit is worse-off - smaller spacewise, and I heard a few mom complainthat when passin to the seat unit, the pram started to get damaged slowly but continually.

Not all models have to be like that, but overall, I would only buy a Noordi pram if you mainly buy it for the carrycot mode, and around a year plan to pass on to a forward-facing, lightweight pushchair, not as an all-in-one system to last the whole time. Also, remember they are rather bulky to fold and load into the boot often.
