Hey,
Gross post but oh well...
I'm 40 weeks atm so I know that comes with its own discomforts but I'm feeling stinging in/on my
Labia area, spoke to the midwife about it but she just said it will be hormones without checking.
It honestly feels like an infection or something but looks fine apart from a bit red a swollen as far as I can tell. Has anyone else had this?
Thanks

Is it itchy as well?

When I've had bad thrush its caused pain and soreness as well as itching.

I'm 22 weeks and have had swelling, pain and a bit of itchiness. I called my gp who prescribed me canesten and said it was thrush. Could you call the gp in the morning and possibly get a cream prescribed just incase it is thrush?

I had this last week (15 weeks) so sore, real itchy and swollen and literally felt like the Sahara down there. No UTI. I spoke to my consultant and she just said moisturise? I did a few times then honestly I just don't have time with DS after a shower to moisturise and wait for it all to dry before I got dressed. It's settled down and not had any issues for maybe 4/5 days now. I feel your pain it's horrible :( she did say if I was still having problems by next app (tomorrow) to mention to the midwife and to possibly take a swab). She didn't seem overly concerned though.

Coconut oil (any 100% natural type in a tub from the supermarket or chemists) is amazing to help keep the area slippy and comfortable.
Everything gets pushed down and out so there’s more friction/dryness. Massage in some oil after a shower and it should last a good few hours x

It could be thrush - fine to take pessary and cream in pregnancy but not the oral pill.

I find a good layer of vaseline can help of you're a bit sore down there. Hope it clears up soon x

Thanks everyone, put some canesten cream on last night and has helped calm it a bit! Just wasnt sure if was thrust as wasn't itchy just sore.
Appreciate the responses! Why is pregnancy so attractive! Lol x
