Congrats!!! You’ve done it now anyway so wouldn’t give it a second thought!

I think it's fine! Even in the rare event that something goes wrong, you'd want their support anyway wouldnt you? My 12 week scan is at 11+2 and if everything is OK I'll be telling my family then, although I'll be announcing to a wider circle after a private scan at 15 weeks.

In both my pregnancies I told my mum as soon as I got a positive test! With my first I announced to everyone at 8 weeks- I pretty much had to as it was my wedding and everyone kept buying me glasses of champagne so I just told them.

Congratulations! There's no reason to suppose you will miscarry again and you have reached 14 weeks. Well done.

DarkHelmet · 15/07/2020 16:59

I told everyone I knew the minute I tested positive! Congratulations Thanks

I told my parents at 9 weeks! (Last Thursday!) they’re not together anymore but they were both coming round to ours that day so wanted to tell them together as no idea when that will next be. I also figured if something bad were to happen I’d like their support (I MC in February and it was quite tough not telling them)
14 weeks sounds sensible ☺️

My work colleagues new I was pregnant at 4 weeks the min I ordered a coke without the vodka 🤣

Congratulations! 14 weeks isn't early at all - your chance of miscarriage at this point is probably very small, depending on your age etc. I announced to immediate family pretty much as soon as I found out myself, then to everyone I know at 12 weeks!

I found this website very reassuring! For the average woman, the odds of miscarrying after 14 weeks are 1%. You can put in your own personal stats (age, height, weight) and get a more personalised figure.

I miscarries at 9 weeks withy first, days after we told our parents. I got pregnant again 3 months later and told my mum at 6 weeks as I was admitted to hospital with HG and felt I needed to tell and adulter adult (I'm 30) that I was in hospital.
Then told rest of immediate family at 9 weeks, close friends at 12, and others after that as and when we saw them.
Now sat here feeding my 4 week old.

Good luck x
