Hi guys
I need some advice on what to do, I'm 18 weeks 4 days pregnant and I've had my cerclage for about 6 weeks now, I've just this morning have starting to get twinge like pains just below my belly nothing like period pain but it is there and goes away after a few seconds. I've been trying to get through to triage for some advice but they ain't answering 😭😩 what could this be? Is it round ligament pain or is my baby pressing down on my stitch?
Please help 😭

Hey! I had a cerclage placed at 13 weeks and I’m currently 31.
Around weeks 17 - 25 I experienced a lot of strange pains, I also had these pains before but they ramped up during this time. I still get odd twinges but mostly it’s correlated with passing wind shortly afterwards 🙈
When I asked various OBs no one could say for sure what it was, perhaps round ligament pains, baby movement, wind!
I think you would feel pressure in your cervix rather than where you are describing if it was the baby pressing down/kicking cervix.
Absolutely get checked for peace of mind but I would imagine you are fine and it’s just normal pregnancy pains - maybe having a foreign object down there does alter the pain we experience somewhat.
Just make sure there’s no blood, increase in wetness, strange discharge etc. Be sure stay hydrated and rest up where possible too. Are you on pelvic rest?

@glasha87 I am on modified rest so just here and there I spoke with my midwife and was told that it's because my uterus is expanding
