How are you all getting through this last stage? I feel enormous, everything aches, I'm swelling EVERYWHERE, I'm tired, grumpy, everything is such an effort. OH does his best but doesn't get it AT ALL. Please Get me through this last few weeks 😢 suggestions to stop me feeling so wrecked and in such a cow of a mood welcome 🤞🏼

Hi! I feel your pain, I’m 34 weeks today and can totally sympathise. I wrote a post yesterday I have started to get bad leg cramps and pins and needles during the night on top of everything else. It’s hard going.
I keep thinking we are so close... and yet so far 😂
Is this your first?
I have a boisterous toddler to run about after aswell.
Sorry I can’t give you any helpful words but... least your not alone!! :)

Are you doing any labour prep? I have started drinking raspberry leaf tea and perineal massage... I’m not convinced they will help but it’s got to be worth a try?!

38 weeks here, c-section booked in a week but it's dragging SO much now.
Hate being so limited in what I can do, literally just waiting around and being a wallowing whale.
Trying to enjoy my last week of peace but it's hard when you're so uncomfortable 24/7!

Despite the moaning I am super excited and grateful, can't wait until I can breathe again and lie on my back. Bliss Smile

Oh good Lord @Jomum2020 I don't know how you are doing it with another little one to look after so by default your message has helped because at least I don't have that to content with!
You are so close @SingingWren you can definitely get through another week!
I'm also very grateful and very lucky, I just can't wait until every little movement isn't such hard work!
Do either of you feel like lockdown has hindered you? I feel that because I've been much less active that I normally would have been if I'd. Or been working from home etc that I wouldn't be feeling it so much but as it is my hip and knee joints are killing me along with the lower back etc. I'm sure it's just because I've been sat like a potato all this time!

Honestly looking back OP those last few weeks are so hard aren’t they?! Turning over in bed is like climbing a mountain. I do wish I had savoured the quiet time if it’s your first and relaxed a bit more.

Treat yourself to some new products, nice food, find a good tv show to binge and be easy on yourself! It’ll be over soon enough, I had DD at 36 weeks so I haven’t been pregnant full term before but I wish you all the best!

BabyB19 · 12/07/2020 15:35

Aww thank you @Teacaketotty it's quite overwhelming that people have babies not much further on than me, although I'm eager to get my body back it's quite scary that it could also happen anytime now in reality haha!
Sorry didn't answer your question @Jomum2020 I'm not doing anything to encourage it just yet as OH has two jobs to do about 4 hours away from home when I am 36 + 38 weeks (3 days at a time) so I'll be on pins with my legs crossed until he is back home!

I'm 35+3 and really, really struggling now.....i totally underestimated how hard the 3rd trimester would be!

I'm absolutely exhausted, my hands and feet are painfully swollen, I feel sick, I've had diarrhoea for the last few days, cramps, belly ache, lower back ache, tightenings, headaches, breathlessness and the heartburn is worse than ever! I can't sleep, I can't get comfortable, everything is such a huge effort, I'm never off the loo, I'm an emotional wreck and all I seem to be doing is complaining. I'm getting on my own nerves now!

I'm wishing the next few weeks of my life away!

BabyB19 · 12/07/2020 19:36

I see your name on every post @sel2223 🤣
I could have literally written that. The bowels are a nightmare, 3+ times a day, which I'm sure must be dehydrating me which one turn doesn't help the swelling, it's a never ending vicious circle!
I walked 1.5km this afternoon, forced myself to have a walk to keep moving, it was a pitiful distance and then I had to sit for 3 hours with my legs up to get the swelling down! My knuckles were white from the pressure in them they were so swollen 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

@BabyB19 i'm 35+1 and i feel like last night was the worst so far, i couldn't sleep well as my hips hurt, i have a constant lump in my throat like heartburn/indigestion, my hands are swollen and irritated, i seem to get this ridiculous head pain whenever i bend down, i can't even wipe properly when i go to the loo as i can hardly reach 😳 not to mention how big i feel! I have to admit as much as i'm dreading the 'unknown' of labour i've got to that point where i just want her out now! Don't understand how people miss their bump when they have given birth as i certainly will not miss this! You're not alone op, we'll get through this together 😂❤️

BabyB19 · 12/07/2020 22:16

Omg the wiping @Oldestchild90s nobody tells you about that do they! I'm wondering if I'm going to have to start showering after going to the loo at some point! I won't miss it either, as much as I will miss having my baby moving around in there, logistically I can't wait until it's gone! My shoulders are killing me because once I'm in bed I barely move all night because it's too much effort so I'm trying to alternate nights between left and right sleeping but they're so achy! There's nothing we can do to help eachother but at least we're in it together!
I went out today in OH slides, in a size 4 and he's a size 10 but I couldn't get any of my shoes on 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️❤️
