BOTH TUBES REMOVED

So In 2015 I had an ectopic pregnancy and had my left tube removed I then went on to have a little boy and then twins. Just now on Friday I had another ectopic and lost my right tube. Does anyone have any stories how your cycles were? What happened after?? I now have no tubes so can't have any more children unless though ivf. So I'm lucky I have what I have?

I'm sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and glad you are ok. I'm also glad to hear you have your twins. A friend of mine's wife lost both tubes before they had any children but they went on to have boy/girl twins on their second ivf attempt.

I also lost both tubes to ectopics - ironically the second one was following an IVF transfer and so IVF is our only option now and it's horrendously expensive as well as pressured as there is no more chance of that naturally conceived miracle baby inbetween IVF cycles that lots of people have. It takes everything from you emotionally physically mentally and financially and I'm not sure I'd want to do that if I already had a young family?

My cycles went back to normal around 5-6 weeks after surgery. I still have a normal period every month and my cycle is pretty much the same length as it was before

Yes I'm not going for ivf at the moment not for a long time and probably won't ever. I have my babies now and think that's all I care about. Just wanted to hear from another point of view. We're your cycles lighter? Heavier?

@Becalouise0910

I recall for the first few months rather than a couple of days of spotting I used to have at the start I'd often go from 0-to full flow within a few hours but they've settled down now and are no heavier or lighter than they used to be

I’m sorry to hear this. On the other hand, if you do decide to go down the IVF route, the success rate for this indication is one of the highest
