Any dentists around for advice re impacted wisdom tooth removal in pregnancy?

Hi, I'm currently 27+3 and have had so much trouble with my teeth this pregnancy. Have already had 2 upper wisdom teeth out and have been experiencing recurrent bouts of pericoronitis on lower wisdom tooth also (despite good hygiene and antibiotics). Dentist has referred me to oral surgeons who won't remove tooth due to the pregnancy (and they still aren't doing AGP) so they advised he sends me to an emergency hub. The tooth is partially through the gum but the roots are distally impacted. In my dentists words 'it will be a tricky removal'. I know I can't get sedatiom due to the pregnancy but I'm worried about the trauma of the procedure on the baby and limited analgesia afterwards (allergic to codeine). Ideally I want to wait until after DD is born but have been in a lot of pain the past few days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dentist here. Very difficult one. Only see a specialist oral surgeon for advice) treatment. It's a balance between keeping infection at bay with antibiotics during pregnancy and management of post op pain after extractions. Pain after distal impacted lower teeth can be quite bad . Usually requires strong painkillers. The call needs to be made by the oral surgeon after weighing pros and cons for your specific case. Noone here on Mumsnet can advise really as we haven't seen your radiographs. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the reply @moomoomummy. Managed to get a hold of the oral surgeons secretary today and awaiting a call back from dentist after they look at x-rays. Do you think the trauma of the surgery/post op pain could affect the baby? That's what I'm most worried about. Just praying I can postpone the procedure until DD is here
