Anterior placenta

I'm 19 and a half weeks and I found out during a triage scan that I have an anterior placenta. I was wondering at what week others with anterior placenta's might have felt their first proper kick? I occasionally have flutters but still to the point where I'm questioning if it's baby or gas! Did having an anterior placenta affect your pregnancy in other way too? Thanks x

I did with DD1 and didn’t feel a definite kick which became a definite pattern until 27 weeks. I was in and out for monitoring a lot with her. DD2s placenta was at the back and I felt movement at just 14 weeks and never had to go in for monitoring. Anterior placentas are a pain in the arse!

Not felt a thing yet with anterior placenta (only 17 weeks). Felt my DD (posterior placenta) at 13 weeks, and by this stage it was really clear and I could sometimes see movement across bump.

I'm under a consultant (other reasons) and he said I shouldn't expect to fell anything until around 20 weeks and it could be later. He said unless placenta previa occurs it won't cause any complications.

I’m 29 weeks with AP. Started feeling movement around 22 weeks but only starting having a daily pattern around 1-2 weeks ago. Before then the baby would have very quiet days. It’s still quiet compared to my eldest who was a posterior placenta.

I'm 25+5 with AP. Felt mild flutters from around 20 weeks. Only started getting real kicks from 24 weeks, a few times a day. Now she's gone feet first so she's just dancing on my bladder these past few days!

I felt flutters from 20 weeks and now at 23 weeks get the odd kick. Nothing regular yet and some very quiet days. Apparently v normal with an anterior placenta xx

I didn't feel a thing till over 22 weeks then the movements gradually became stronger and more frequent by about 28 weeks.

I had an Anterior placenta in my first pregnancy and didn’t feel a thing until the 24/25 week mark. It used to frustrate the hell out of me when people would constantly say have you not felt the baby move yet! I was constantly in triage getting checked and I really struggled feeling my baby’s movements however if doesn’t effect the pregnancy in any way and there is no higher risk in having a anterior placenta.

I didn't feel anything until 21-22 weeks, now 27 weeks and the kicks are very noticeable, even visible. The most beautiful feeling in the world. 🥰

I had an anterior placenta which was also low (previa - blocking my cervix) and I found out at 16 weeks. I had lots of bleeding/spotting until around 21 weeks and felt Flutters from around 23 weeks, big kicks by 25 weeks.

I'm now 35 weeks & my placenta has now moved away from the cervix but will anterior
