Red hair is recessive, that means you need to have two copies of the red hair gene for it to show.
Because you have red hair, you must have two copies of the gene. You got one from your mum and one from your dad. You will definitely pass one onto your son.
Because your husband has blonde hair, he definitely does not have two copies of the red hair gene, however it is possible that he has one. If this is the case, then for each child he has, there is a 50% chance that he will pass it on. Because you're definitely passing on a red hair gene, there is then a 50% chance of red hair for each of your children.
However, if he does not have one red hair gene, then he can never pass one on, and your son will only have the one gene from you, therefore no red hair.
As far as I know there is no way of knowing whether your husband is carrying the red hair gene or not unless one of his parents is a redhead, and you've already said that's not the case. Just because he's not aware of any redheads on his side of the family doesn't mean he doesn't carry the gene; because it's recessive it can hide in families for generations. However, he also might not carry the gene and be unable to have red haired children.
