Tutti Bambini Cozee Air vs Snuzpod

Hi all!

As the title suggests, I wanted to see if anyone can share their first hand experience with either of these cribs?

My preference had been the Snuzpod:

  • size
  • removable bassinet

I've now read a bit about the tutti bambini cozee air and like that it can be folded down for travels. Does it however also have a removable bassinet?

I cannot seem to find any info online currently that explains the crib in more detail.

Thanks!

I haven't used either yet but thought you would like to know that the Snuzpod is on sale on John Lewis' website. I got mine for £157, it's arriving this afternoon!

LividLaughLovely · 25/06/2020 11:57

We've got both (handmedowns, use one upstairs and one down)

We have an original Snuzpod so the 3 might be a bit different, but I've never removed the bassinet, it's wooden and heavy. It's smaller inside than the TBC but the white wood is nice to look at!

The TBC makes an excellent travel cot, we've used it for a weekend away and it packs easily into a bag.

Despite what I thought, we don't actually use either with the side down attached to the bed. It makes it too hard to get in and out and with a bedside table at the head end is too far down. We have it a step to the side of the bed and look through the mesh! Baby has never know different, and it's actually nicer to put feet on the floor to grab him in the night.

If I was paying for them and only having one, it'd probably be the TBC as it's generally lighter and more spacious.

Thanks @Pinktruffle for letting me know! Who doesn't love a discount

Also @LividLaughLovely that's helpful to know, I did see the Snuzpod 3 in person and the bassinet lifts off but as you said as it's wood it's not exactly flimsy. We only have one floor so could carry it around from a to b but is that even necessary.... that's my dilemma.

I like the look of the tutti bambini, just wondered if the new air model is any better than the previous model. Have seen it comes with attachments to turn crib into a rocking one or static, and it can be moved around if necessary.

I don't have loads of space beside our bed, so need to measure the tutti bambini as well to see the fit!

Baby isn't here yet but we have the Cozee Air - it was an impulse buy when Mothercare closed down and we got it for £42 (hence the impulse).

We put it up just to make sure all the parts were there, it's perfect for our ottoman bed (height) and the side comes down very easily. I have the static feet on it as it's next to the bed but if I was to take it on a short break with us I'd bring the rocking feet for day time naps.

If you eBay the mattress size you can get 2 mattress sheets that fit for £13 - or I can dig the link out if you go down that route!

We had the snuzpod 3 for ds1 and will be using it again for dd coming in a couple of months. We used a sleepyhead inside it so if we wanted to move the baby around we just picked that up and carried it around.

LASandOtto · 25/06/2020 14:07

Thanks @Babyshine2020, what an amazing bargain for that price! I'd have done the same!!

Good to know the sides come down easily and they you can purchase the fitted sheets on eBay. I've seen some of the own brand stuff is just so expensive!!!!

I'm going to do a bit more research and might get back to you on that link Grin if I need it!

@MrsStavrum thanks for the info! Do you use the bassinet during the day for naps or anything as well, or just nighttime? I was just wondering whether I'd just the lift off feature as we are in a flat and I don't want to buy loads of stuff - bouncer, baby gym, etc - is the bassinet can be used daytime.

MrsStavrum · 25/06/2020 14:21

@LASandOtto We used it for all the sleep we could get away with so we would use it for daytime naps as well. I really recommend it!

Pinktruffle · 25/06/2020 14:25

@LASandOtto the main reason we went with the Snuzpod was that after extensive research, we found that it was the slimmest of the next to me cribs and space is of a premium due to bedside tables etc.

The lift off feature was also a huge bonus as I dont want to buy anything extra for downstairs. The Snuzpod 3 is lighter than the earlier models

JSLACEFAMILY · 25/06/2020 15:06

We have bought the tutti bambini air as it comes with attachable wheels, as our bedroom and living room are on the same floor. It moves across from one groom to another easilt.

LexiM · 25/06/2020 19:42

We have the Tutti and although I cannot comment on using as baby isn't here yet I am impressed at how spacious it is, seems bigger than the snuzpod which I have seen in real life. It's also really easy to put up, take down and adjust the height on.

The bassinet is built in and cannot be taken out but looking at the snuzpod it seemed to heavy to want to regularly carry it round the house anyway.

I know the new one has the rocking element, I guess that's personal choice, I doubt we would have gone for that as I don't think(!) I want baby to learn to be rocked to sleep.

liquoricecravings · 25/06/2020 20:44

We bought the CoZee air at the baby show back in March. We thought it was a better looking design compared to some of the others. Our baby isn't due until September but as I needed to feel a bit more excited about my pregnancy during the lockdown we've already put it up in our bedroom. We are really pleased with it. It's spacious, easy to assemble and packs away neatly for future visits to grandparents and friends. The side comes down very easily and I like the grey fabric. I've bought the bedding from them too (we managed to get it discounted).

Mammamia365 · 09/02/2021 15:46

Hello I know the thread is quite old but I am interested in Cozee Air myself.

@liquoricecravings*,@LexiM,@JSLACEFAMILY,*@Babyshine2020 wanted to ask about your opinions on Cozee Air now that you perhaps have used it for a while?

I am looking at buying it for our baby arriving soon, and just wanted to see what are your thoughts about it.

@LASandOtto Which one did you ended up getting?

LASandOtto · 09/02/2021 16:03

Hi @Mammamia365

We ended up getting the Cozee Air and we love it.

It looks great and it's so handy as it's quite light and easy to move around if you were planning to use it in various rooms (during day for naps, night time in the bedroom etc).

We even used it when we went away, folds down super fast and again, we then didn't need an extra travel cot.

I do really recommend it!

@Mammamia365 I still really like ours too. My dd is five months next week and there's still some growing room left for her before we have to move her into her cot. She seems to love it too as she'll happily play in there in the morning for a while. I still like how it looks and as OP said, it's easy to assemble and pack away (it comes in a travel case) - not that we've used it to go away yet due to the restrictions...

LexiM · 09/02/2021 17:43

@Mammamia365 we got it and I would recommend it a lot. Great sized and easy to put up and down. Attaches to bed well for having the side down. My baby is coming up to 4 months and still has some room in it and he is tall.

Personally I think it's one of the best on the market and also nicer looking than others.

JSLACEFAMILY · 09/02/2021 18:11

We love ours. My DD is 4 months and still has room to grow. She has always settled in it really well. It attaches to the bed well and even fits on our super king divan. The wheels are a great addition and were helpful to us as our living room is on the same floor as our bedroom and I could move it where I wanted.
