Hey guys was wondering has anyone raised a child all on their own while their partner is at work without any help from any family or friends ?

Is your partner there in the evening and weekends? Or do you mean hes working away and you're completely on your own all the time?

He would
Come home around 7 and he works on Saturdays till 1 pm and he's off Sunday

We have no family nearby to help, DH works abroad for up to six weeks at a time several times a year. It’s hard work but we’ve managed fine.

Pinkbluberry thank you! Makes me less nervous thinking about it.

My partner started a new job the week baby arrived so wasn't allowed any paternity leave. All he got was a couple of days but then I was left alone all day apart from the evenings and weekends which, once he finished training has been me alone more as he's gone onto different, long shifts.
Not going to lie, it was horrendous at first, I was angry and tearful lots of the time and scared of not knowing anything about my baby but eventually I grew in confidence and felt somewhat like I knew was I was doing. It took a long time to not feel irrationally resentful towards his job though!

Partner is out at work 7am to 7pm every day but we do have the weekends together. (Outside of lockdown) My best advice is to get out a lot to toddler groups and baby classes. Find a network of friends with babies. It’s exhausting but good.
