Please help regarding double buggy for twins & 2 year old DD

Hey everyone,

I have been what feels like all over Kent trying to find a double buggy ( the ones that sit on top of each other rather than side to side ) that fits a buggy board for my 2 year old DD.

Most of the prams fit a buggy board but because of the way the bassinets stick out my daughter won't be able to physically stand on it due to no space!

What are my other options? Was any one else in my shoes with the age gaps? What did you do???

Help or your advice would be so very appreciated!

X

Can't link but have a look on ebay. There's a vintage twin Emmaljunga that looks like it would work with a buggy board. It might be too long though..

@StripeyBananas - thanks il take a look! X

I have the Cossato Wow XL, which has a built in buggy board. We love it. Although you will just have to check if the buggy board can be used when two seats are in place 🙂

My friend has an egg does that do what you need it to do
? Have you checked fb market place x

@Longfox - thank you! So a lot of them have the built in buggy board which is great, but when the second bassinets attached it comes so far out she couldn't stand on it. I will take a look though just incase this one is different 🤞 xx

@cultkid - I have looked at the egg & the lady on the shop said the same thing about not enough space once second bassinet is on! It's a real struggle I didn't think this would be an issue haha x

Give one of the twins away 😂

Youvegotafriendinme · 23/06/2020 18:32

@cultkid I think this is the best bit of advice OP will receive Grin

BBB18 · 23/06/2020 18:35

@cultkid - I think this is my only option 😂😂😂

Sorry @BBB18 for stealing your thread Blush BUT

@Longfox I’m pregnant with DC2 and DC1 will only be 19 months when DC2 comes along. I have been looking at the WOW XL, do you use it for twins or a toddler and baby? If toddler and a baby, can I pick your brains please?

BertieBotts · 23/06/2020 19:03

You need the pram huns! They used to have massive ongoing threads on here, I wonder if they are still around?

If not on MN there MUST be a forum for pram fans somewhere online - maybe a facebook group? They know every single pram and all the configurations for them, it's mind boggling.

BertieBotts · 23/06/2020 19:03

You could also try posting in the multiple births section or look on TAMBA forums/FB group :)

BBB18 · 23/06/2020 20:21

@BertieBotts - ooo I didn't even think of that! A thread for prams, I'm going to take a look!!

Thank you 😘

@LastPieceOfLooRoll - don't say sorry! It's the hardest bloody thing ever! I didn't think it would be this difficult! Good luck with your search xxx

OP, just to play devils advocate here - why not a side by side? I’ve just bought a (second hand) bugaboo donkey which is apparently no wider than a standard wheelchair so can fit through most doors and into shops/restaurants etc. Friends with twins have loved theirs.

The mountainbuggy duet (very close alternative in my search) is also really narrow if it’s the width you’re worried about?

Might be an option to reconsider if you’re struggling with the ones that go on top of each other?
