If it is a DVT you will need more urgent treatment than waiting to see a GP. Phone 111 and be triaged asap. When I had them in pregnancy I ended up in A&E.

To answer your question though the treatment was injections of clexane (a blood thinner) twice daily (later dropping down to once a day) all the way through the pregnancy and for 6 weeks after birth. I had the DVT at 10 weeks with no other risk factors.

I was at risk of DVT from family history of my mother. I had terrible cramping so called my GP and she examined me before sending me to A&E as a precaution. They did a blood test and gave me a scan there. All was well. But yes, I believe they will send you to A&E just in case.

Yep, GP will almost certainly send to to A&E / urgent care / ambulatory unit (depending on your area). I would honestly miss out the "middle man" & go direct

i did ring up and she said go straight there, (the receptionist) fingers crossed

turns out its thrombophletitis, so its a superficial vein swelling, got some cream.

Can your midwife arrange for you to have a talk with a consultant, OP? It's unlikely that it will develop into a DVT but you don't want to risk anything. They might want to treat you with clexane throughout the rest of your pregnancy. But the more likely outcome is that they'll monitor you closely and conservatively (no meds) for the rest of the pregnancy, with a view to giving you clexane injections post-delivery. Definitely ask your midwife to book you in for a telephone appointment with the consultant obstetrician.
