Baby wraps?

Hi all,

Can you recommend a baby wrap/carrier? There are so many cheap ones on amazon and similar but more expensive ones elsewhere. I have my eyes on Close Caboo as it seems easier that it's already pre-folded on the back. Would this be useful for a winter baby? Would you use it at home?

I can't give advice as I'm currently pregnant with my first but I am planning on getting the Close Caboo, someone on here recommended it to me. It's currently 10% off on John Lewis' website

I've found the stretchy wrap from Funki flamingo works well. I got it from our local sling library so the lady who runs it obviously thinks they are decent. Also the boba wrap is one she recommended. Both are just big pieces of fabric but they are very easy to use once you know how. When baby was little I used it in the house a lot as he would just fall straight asleep in it. Now he is older it's more for walks as he wants to look around. The stretchy wraps do get less easy I think as babies get bigger. It's worth checking out if you have a local library - www.slingpages.co.uk/

Yes, check for a local sling library. Mine was great! Got to try lots of different ones & had great advice. I used a Babybjorn with my first but it never felt right at the newborn stage, fine for when she was a bit older (4/5 months). Second time after visiting the sling library I got a Hana wrap. It's fab! Big long piece of material & it's so much easier than you think! DC2 loved being in it from birth.

I had a stretchy wrap and a close caboo. Would definitely recommend the close caboo, much easier to use and can adjust when baby is in whereas the wraps just got saggy and uncomfortable and you have to retie it all to sort it out. I only used the soft ones until about three months or so then moved onto a structured buckle carrier - I use an ergobaby. Way better for weight distribution and very easy to use.

I love the Closer Caboo. Didn’t have it from birth last time, but wish I did. My second is due in September and think he will be in it a lot I imagine. It’s very easy and comfortable for both around the house and also out and about.
When baby gets to 6 month mark I’ll switch to the Ergo baby.

Close Caboo is great

Thank you all for recommendations! Does the newborn sit in it or lie sideways at first?

I used a Moby wrap (stretchy) to start off with then had a Stokke Mycarrier for outdoors which I am still using now at 18m!

I loved my Caboo, used it every day from birth to 4 months-ish then moved on to Ergobaby

Buy a used Caboo and see how you get on.

Planning on a close caboo this time, all being well with baby.

I had a mamas and papas flex I think last time, its 2 loops then a wrap around middle tie and was so easy to use though could get a bit uncomfortable. I used it from about 4 months I think as csection issues made it too painful before then but used it at home and out and loved it, I then used a carrier for when dd was bigger and she loved being able to see more and I appreciated the support of that too
