Hello
My 20 week scan went great everything measuring as it should and healthy baby.
On my notes it states she's in the frank breech position, is this normal? Do they normally turn by full term?!
I feel like I always have to find something to worry about.
I'm also 19+5 with an anterior placenta so only felt the odd flutter which I'm panicking about.
Could i get some reassurance on the above?
TIA XXX

Hiya.

They only really start to worry about baby position around the 32-34 week mark as the baby will twist and turn lots before that anyway. You will probably find baby turns themselves and all is fine. It wouldn't of been mentioned purely because it's probably one of those things they have to document but like most things in pregnancy changes.

The anterior placenta- I have one too. They're a nightmare sometimes because we don't feel movement as much however you will feel some. I felt strong movement from 24 weeks onwards I think? And then when I got to around 30 weeks it turned into different movements of baby shuffling around getting comfy! But you will feel some throughout the day every day as you get further on. Xx

@happygolucky6

Thank you for replying.
When searching frank breech it mostly says it's a normal position and that baby changes all the time but one site mentioned abnormalities associated with breech so I'm now panicking!!
With my anterior placenta I feel flutter then can feel nothing for days! Sad but I guess I'm not only 19 + 5 so still early. Xxx

The baby may have been breech at your scan but may have already got into another position. They move around until 34-36 weeks as they have quite a lot of room to move so honestly don't worry.

Yeah I only felt flutters and it wasn't consistent. I had to sit down and really focus or have a bath after a sugary drink. They do get stronger though, but it did take me until about 24 weeks to really feel proper movement so try not to worry too much.

And now I'm 35 weeks I get feet in the ribs and punches in the bladder so!!! Xxx
