Hi guys. Looking for recommendations for best breast pumps to buy. It's been a while since I've had a baby. Any help gratefully received! :-)

You can rent the Medela hospital grade pump....It’s very good.

Seeing lots of good reviews for the tommee tippee made for me. It hasn't different modes and intensities and massage modes etc.

I got on really well with a haakka let down pump...catches let down from the opposite side to the boob you are feeding from. So catches any milk that would be wasted in a pad. A great quick and quiet alternative to an electric pump!

There are so many options!

I've opted for an electric pump to make life a bit easier. Trying to decide between the Medela freestyle and the spectra. I'm swaying towards Medela just because more people I know have used the product range (but not that specific pump). But a friend used a spectra and said it was amazing and hated the Medela swing.

So confusing!

I just squeezed with my hands. The tommee tippee one I had was crap imo and I got more milk and quicker just doing it with my hands. Other than that, I'd opt for an rlectrical pump.

I have a Bellababy too and it's fantastic for saying it was only around £40.

Another vote for a haakaa- so easy to use and clean, and saves all the mil that would otherwise be wasted.

Then for "proper" pumping I've got an Elvie. Hey seem to divide opinion but I LOVE mine. Hands free so you can get on with other things while pumping. I've used mine at work (with a scarf over) so means you don't have to go and sit in a room somewhere while you pump.

I pumped exclusively for 4 months with my daughter and started off with the endless which I thought was a pretty good pump.

Until I got the spectra S2! It's was so much better and I was able to pump more milk, quicker than with the medela. I had a really good supply and was pumping quite a lot of milk so the spectra was life changing! Until I got tendinitis in my hand!

I think either of these are good pumps but the spectra just edges it for me. I'm afraid I don't have any experience of the other pumps you mention.

Good luck
