Hi! So my app is saying from my period etc that I should be 6 weeks.

I have done a clear blue digital and it's saying 2-3 which means 4-5. How accurate could this be, worrying (I suffer recurring miscarriages) I'm worried my levels arnt rising enough xx

I have heard those clear blue can worry people unnecessarily. Its a case of watch and wait I'm afraid. Perhaps try again in a week, womens hcg can vary and I think those tests are renowned for not always being accurate in terms of date. You could badger your doctor to refer you for hcg at hospital?

ivfgottostaypositive · 12/06/2020 13:12

Your app is 6 weeks since the date of your last period

Clearblue is the date since conception so It sounds about right although I'd be expecting a 3+ by 6 weeks but really depends on when you ovulated

Sanch1 · 12/06/2020 13:19

There's a very wide range of HCG levels for any particular stage so I wouldnt start worrying at all.

albiemum · 12/06/2020 15:53

So if I was 1-2 on the 30th May and 2-3 on the 12th June does that sound about right? Xxx

At 6 weeks my tests stated turning negative. I had to water them down with 75% water to get them dark again. You can't really use tests to monitor the viability of your pregnancy

albiemum · 12/06/2020 17:24

@ladytremaineswig ah really? And was your pregnancy all okay? Xx

I don't think the clear blue tests are accurately enough to be used in this way, they're designed primarily as a pregnancy test so yes or no to being pregnant. I think your result ties in roughly enough for your time scales, I don't think you should base too much in line progressions or clear blue digital progressions, good luck Smile

ladytremaineswig · 12/06/2020 17:57

@albiemum yes it meant the hcg levels were really high. When they get past a certain point it screws with the test so you have to water the urine down. Have you tried a line test?

albiemum · 12/06/2020 18:19

@sarahc336 yeah I know what you mean like they are used to see if your pregnant or not, I think with my history I'm just going crazy 😫 but that's reassured me thanks hun xx

@ladytremaineswig nope I've not actually, I got a strong line 2 week ago, and just done the clear blue digitals ever since xx

I would have been 4+3 when I took mine, it said 1-2 weeks.

I’m 21 weeks now. I think those weeks ones are more trouble than they are worth!

sarahc336 · 12/06/2020 20:21

Oh yeah I can totally understand why you'd be anxious I just think clear blue tests are great for giving a kind of rough guide but I think when you've had a previous loss it's very easy to start testing too much and then get stressed by the results. I think if you test next week it'll probably have gone up to the next number of weeks Smile

sarahc336 · 12/06/2020 20:22

Plus don't forget if you check the normal range for hcg at different weeks it varies massively so we have to take hay that into account too xx

Rubyroost · 12/06/2020 22:08

@Hatscats that's about right then as the weeks on the clear blue is the weeks from ovulation not lmp

Hatscats · 12/06/2020 22:50

Still worried me as I thought I should be in the next 2-3 weeks bracket, being over 4 weeks.
I’d probably avoid for future though!
