Phone your midwifery team.
Always the safest option.

Well everyone has been very helpful Wink not.

@grace1991
When anything unusual for you happens in pregnancy the safest option is always to discuss it with you midwifery team.
I don’t know how that isn’t helpful.
For one person in pregnancy it could be ligament pains, for another it could be early labour. No one on here can safely tell you that what you are experiencing is okay.

You seem to think we're all medical professionals. We're just pregnant women. Most of the advice on here is 'call triage' if you hadnt already noticed... apologies we dont have midwifery or medical degrees!

@UrsulaSings no I just thought that someone's may have experience of the same thingSad wasn't asking for medical advice just a bit of reassurance. That's why this forum exists

I'm 34+2 and have exactly the same types of pains. I asked my MW about them yesterday and she said it's completely normal at this stage. She said the shooting pains were baby pressing on a nerve and the period type pressure pain was baby moving down and getting ready for the big day.

She also said the only pain she would be really concerned about at this stage is a strong headache and swelling.
